Day 17: New Task - Learning!

A completely sunny day. Both outside in the garden and inside in the heart. After breakfast and dinner, I visited the elderly sisters in the infirmary to wish them a good morning and a good night, and in the recreation room, we played a round of Canasta. In the morning, I went to the physiotherapist again for an adjustment, and since I got a new mattress yesterday, I’m hoping that this was the last time and that in a few days, I’ll be free from back pain. Also, I don’t have to clean anymore (outside of my own four walls) in the near future.

I’m allowed to take the "Würzburg distance learning course", and in about five weeks, the oral exam for the basic course will take place. The studying I need to do in the coming weeks requires a bit more practice. I keep escaping into distractions. Last week, when I was cleaning, there were very clear guidelines about what had to be accomplished each day. Now, I have to decide for myself each week and each day how much and what I’ll study. From my university days, I know that this tends to go better the closer the exam gets...

I’m afraid that being examined as a nun will be a bit different from before. If it were my subject (physics), I’d feel confident and surprise most people. But it’s about theology, and people automatically expect that a nun knows her stuff—yet I’m still a complete beginner. I hope I manage to work through the material well and not embarrass myself.
